Little Coffee Beans…

Looking on Ravelry.com recently I noticed that my free baby cardigan pattern “Little Coffee Bean” reached over 1,000 projects! It was one of my very first patterns I published and I’m so glad that so many knitters have enjoyed knitting it up. It’s always great to see finished project photos from other knitters so I thought I would share some adorable photos recently posted on Ravelry here (with the knitter’s permission of course!):

What a wonderful design! I love how each version has such a character of its own. I will definitely knit this for the wee ones in my life!

Thanks Evelyn! I love seeing all the different versions too–it’s wonderful how each knitter puts their own unique touches on it.

OMG! What a fool-(maybe because I’m still up knitting at 4am after food poisoning?? Ya think??) I went over to the Wonder Years Sweater since it appears to me almost the same pattern in larger sizes…and I realized that I have made the neck the size for a 12mo old, and the yoke-or the body prior to the divide for sleeves-big enough to fit an 8-10yr old!! ROTFLMAO or cry I guess.. I’ll definately be doing some ripping out but it’s such a great, easy pattern that I’ll probably be finishing it this week & this craziness will be just a peculiar memory. Sorry for the prior huge post-I really LOVE your patterns & take all responicibility for the mistakes.
Thanks for you patience (I hope)

      Hi Lisa!
So sorry about what happened! But I think these kinds of mistakes happen to all of us at some point (usually many times actually!). And it usually does happen during late-night knitting. I’ve done that so many times–I can’t figure out something for the life of me while I’m up late knitting, but I wake up in the morning and the pattern then makes complete sense. Alas, the joys of knitting!
I’m glad you were able to figure out what you did wrong and I’m glad you found the Wonder Years pattern. It is the same design as Little Coffee Bean but sized for toddlers and children.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions along the way. Happy knitting!

      Elizabeth
