As I mentioned a few weeks ago, my latest pattern is a new version of the Abbi Shawl Collar Cardigan using a DK/sport-weight yarn. The pattern is pretty much done, the sample has been blocked and I even got a few pictures taken today. The pattern itself still needs to be tech edited and laid out, but I thought I would at least share some “sneak peek” photos. These photos show the version that has an after-thought button loop, but I’ll be taking photos of it without the closure too so you can see it both ways.

The patternĀ should be released in about 2 weeks or so. Because it uses DK or sport-weight yarn (the sample was done in Quince & Co’s Chickadee) I think it makes a great spring/summer time cardi. Now I just need to come up with a name for it…maybe “Abbi Light”?
Looks great! I’ve got some beautiful Mano silk blend in icy gray that would love to be a cardigan….
ohh Mano silk blend would be beautiful!
I love it! (like all your pattens) Can’t wait to see it published!
Thanks so much Sarah!
I can’t wait! I ordered Chickadee in nasturtium. I especially like the “after thought” button loop and will be adding one to my bulky-knit Abbi.
Thanks Melissa! I love nasturtium–such a great orange color. Glad you like the button loop too-I think it works well for the design and it’s nice that you can decide after the whole sweater is done if you want to add it or not.
What a gorgeous vest and the color is perfect.
Thanks Eveyln–I love the color too. It’s “Carrie’s Yellow” from Quince. A perfect shade of yellow!
I have my yarn….
(Aren’t I a pest!?!)
We are so close!! Just working on one final round with my tech editor. Definitely this week (and hopefully within the next couple of days!)
Yay! I can only imagine the process; I know it can’t be simple.
It can be quite the process, but it’s worth it to me to have so much proofing done. But the good news is it’s 99% done! I will definitely be releasing it today…
