I love the fall weather here in Maine, and what better way to celebrate than to have 3 new pattern releases this month!
Anora is a top-down, a-line shaped cardigan using worsted-weight yarn and features some gradient striping at the bottom (gradients are all these rage these days it seems!). I used Quince & Co’s Owl yarn, a beautiful alpaca/wool blend that has such great texture it was truly fun to knit with.
Lizzy Vest is a vest/shrug that has some interesting construction to it. It’s knit flat in a rectangle shape, then stitches are picked up along each side and seamed together using the three needle bind off technique. The finished garment looks like a circle with armholes–pretty cool! The pattern includes step-by-step photo tutorial on how to put together the vest so don’t be scared off by this slightly unusual finishing.
Last but not least, Crispy Cowl is that project you have when you need completely mindless knitting…something to knit while chatting with others, watching TV, at your child’s soccer practice, waiting at the doctor’s office, etc. etc. It’s a two round repeat that although super easy to do, creates a unique texture that looks much harder than it actually is. Just 2 skeins of bulky-weight yarn is all you need too!
Hope you enjoy these fall project ideas!
